How to be less ignorant ?
It's been while since I wrote my last blog. It's a pleasure to write which I was missing out. But was not getting a topic to talk about. And if you talk or write something unless you deeply feel it, it's waste of time and energy. It is like taking the other person for granted.
Taking someone or something for granted is one of the biggest mistake we make. By taking things for granted we just be ignorant. Overlook the details. And many a times we find roots of our failures, defeats in our ignorance. This ignorance can take you from riches to rags, success to failure. Can divert your mind to distraction when actually you are supposed to focus.
And I am sure, we all must have realized this one point or the other. Our feeling of envy, insecurity and regret comes out of this habit. But then how to overcome it ? How to be less ignorant that earlier and keep our ego in check.
There could be multiple ways. And I am not an expert. I am just a simple person like you. But what I have learned over the years through my and other's experience, I am sharing with you all.
1. Ignorant people tend to write off people and criticize extensively. Criticizing is one element of human nature. Especially when someone you come across who has lesser knowledge, degree or rank. Avoid this. If you can not help someone then at least do not criticize. This leads you to focus more on productive things which you should be doing. You concentrate on yourself.
Because many a times a person you thought wouldn't make it in life, actually live his/her life to the fullest. And you find yourself being jealous. Complete waste of time.
2. Ignorant people are over confident. In any era being realistic is beneficial. Being over confident crash land your ego instantly without any prior notice.
Believing in practice is the best way to avoid such over confidence. Have you watched wrestling or sports movies? All of them tells you one thing. Practice makes anybody successful, no matter where you start. Practice gives you a precious gift. Disciplined mindset. A tool that can help you in any situation anywhere.
3. Ignorant people delays work. Being updated in your work, knowledge, manners is what leads you to success. Hence always keep yourself aware of your surroundings. Make sure that you have plans for your goals. Write them down with a deadline. Follow it rigorously. And you realize, you are not supposed to do all the work in one go. Small portion of work everyday can make things possible easily. It saves our hassle time.
These are three of major observations of mine about being less ignorant. When I say, less ignorant, I keep in mind human nature. Because no matter what we have our egos which lead to us to be ignorant. Hence it is unavoidable. But the faster we realize that we are making mistake, the sooner we recover.
