SELF MOTIVATION
Self motivation is an integral part of everyone's life. And especially during tough times. Self Motivation works as a fuel, which keeps our life's engine running.
Now a days getting motivated, is a matter of few clicks. Just log in to your favorite social media space. Type Inspirational quotes/videos. And BOOM !!! You are overloaded with many social media pages. We have enough fuel to keep us going ahead in life. But still, we need it again and again to refuel ourselves. As if we are running short? Why so ?
In my opinion, need of motivation arises from within. Hence it shall be fulfilled from within. The one who seeks motivation, mostly find themselves entangled in emotions. Emotions such as anxiety, fear, low morale, insecurity. And these emotions take down the energy level to the lowest point. To fight back these emotions, one must need to energize oneself from within. And how could that be done?
The answer lies in your own memories. Positive and Strong memories of yourself. Moments of truth when you were on top of the problems and issues. These are with you now and always will be. And they are more strong and solid than any other social media post. Reason? They are related to you. They make more sense than any third party claims. Social media pages do a very good job. But their expressions are in general. While your experience is your own. More relatable.
Let's take an example of Harry Potter movies. When Harry finds it difficult to face his fears, his teacher teach him a spell,"Expecto Patronum". To use this spell, Harry must think of some positive memory which creates a positive energy which helps him fight his fears. And he does use this spell multiple times as we have seen.
It is an example. But can we use it for ourselves? We can give it a try when we are searching for motivation anyways. Although with good memories, bad ones come along. But keeping them at distance is our duty. And we have to do it thoroughly.
Another option is, accepting your mistakes which has lead you to a bad scenario. Accepting them and rectifying them as soon as possible brings peace in your life. And while using these options, do give yourself some time to think, to relax and to look back at your journey so far. It is important. Most of the time this gives you a peace of mind. When at peace, you get gut feelings of where to go and what to do. And once you start following these steps with self discipline, things start falling into places.
Of course these are my opinions. There could be and must be many ways and techniques. But the truth is, if you really need some motivation, you need to find your own path, train your own mindset, search for your very own solid Expecto Patronum moments. And then being self motivated won't be a big deal for you anymore.
